VentureSouth (fka SCAN) to Partner with Grand Strand Technology Council to Sponsor Angel Investing Seminar and Pitch Night

Myrtle Beach, S.C. – SCAN is thrilled to be partnering with the Grand Strand Technology CouncilCoastal Carolina5th T Innovation, and the Georgetown Innovation Centers to co-host the 2nd annual Pitch Night on January 27, 2016. This event is the Grand Strand’s version of “Shark Tank,” the hit ABC show that pairs real entrepreneurs with real investors.

 

In addition to Pitch Night, will be hosting a seminar for accredited investors on the intricacies associated with investing in early stage companies. SCAN is an organization that develops and manages community based angel investment groups. They currently manage nine angel groups across North and South Carolina with a membership of nearly 250 individual investors. In addition to the active angel groups, SCAN also manages the Palmetto Angel Fund, a fund designed to co-invest alongside the investors. 

The Grand Strand Technology Council is a membership organization that focuses on creating and finding opportunities to promote, support, and enhance the growing technology community within the Grand Strand region. SCAN is partnering with the Grand Strand Technology Council in an effort to explore the possibility of setting up a SCAN affiliate in the Grand Strand.
