Mallory Lucas grew up in Thomasville, Georgia - building forts, arrowhead hunting, and adventuring in the longleaf pine forest with her 3 best friends, her brothers!
She felt a pull to the Upstate and enrolled at Wofford College, where she launched a cut & sew business serving the women of the SEC, which she prioritized (instead of academics, ooops!) for the next 4 years. Mallory was always drawn to entrepreneurship, learning through experience and energized by building relationships.
The next 10 years involved the Clemson MBA program (including under the tutelage of Venture Finance professor, Matt Dunbar), building her product development business and learning program management on the innovation team at INVISTA (a subsidiary of Koch Industries). Her passion for entrepreneurship and innovation supports the overarching VentureSouth mission to grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Southeast. As the Director of Investor Relations, Mallory’s core focus is daily engagement with the membership - now spanning 500+ members.
Mallory and her husband Grayson reside in Greenville and have their hands quite full with two vibrant little ones, Catherine & George!
